Integra has chosen to work with Kiva for our charitable corporate contributions. Kiva is a unique organization that allows people to connect with and loan money to small businesses in the developing world. Unlike most charitable organizations, Kiva does not accept donations, it accepts loans. By choosing a business with Kiva, people sponsor a business and help the world's working poor make great strides towards economic independence. Throughout the course of the loan (typically 6-12 months), donors receive email journal updates from the business. As loans are repaid, creditors receive their initial money back where they are free to withdraw their money or lend once again to another business in need.
Integra intends to reinvest repaid loans to new businesses in need. Unlike a traditional charitable donation, a Kiva loan is a perpetual loan that helps many people over the years. View the businesses Integra has loaned to.
